Best Practices

Photo Tips

Lighting

Use flash in dark enclosures. For OTDR/meter screens, reduce brightness slightly to avoid glare.

Angle & Clarity

Shoot straight-on. Labels and readings must be readable. Retake blurry photos immediately.

Context First

Start wide (whole enclosure / area), then go close-up. Reviewers need to understand WHERE.

Timestamp

Enable date/time stamp on your camera app or include a clock screenshot.

Naming

[TicketID]_[Stage]_[Desc].jpg — e.g., WO12345_BEFORE_SpliceTray.jpg

Backup

Upload to the shared drive before leaving the job site. Don't rely on phone storage alone.

Missing Photos = Missing Closeout

Proper documentation protects your work, speeds up billing, and prevents disputes.
